  • SSSLA has partnered with MSETA (Millennium Solar Electric Training) Academy and created a solar training pipeline program designed to teach, develop and ultimately offer graduating students elite job opportunities within the solar industry. Our program is accredited through the NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) and our educators are registered with NABCEP( North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners). The objective of this solar training pipeline program is to ensure that Illinoisans across the state, especially those with employment barriers. Course Overview:
The course introduces the design, installation, and evaluation of residential and commercial Photovoltaic (PV) systems. The principals of Photovoltaic and how to effectively incorporate PV systems into stand-alone or interconnected electrical systems will be covered. Participants will also learn system advantages and disadvantages, site evaluation, component operation, system design and sizing, and installation requirements and recommended practices. A comprehensive lab will allow participants to gain hands-on experience with installing a PV system.
